Joseph was taken to Egypt.
Potiphar was an officer for Pharaoh.
He bought Joseph from the men who brought him there.
God was with Joseph.
Joseph was a good man.
He lived in the house of Potiphar.
Potiphar saw that God was with Joseph.
God helped all that Joseph did.
Potiphar liked Joseph very much.
Potiphar made Joseph the boss of his house.
He gave Joseph all his things to care for.
From that day God blessed Potiphar's house because of Joseph.
God's blessing was on all that Potiphar had, in the house and in the field.
Potiphar left all that he had with Joseph.
He knew nothing of the things that were in the house, only the bread he ate.
Joseph was handsome and kind.
After some time, Potiphar's wife looked at Joseph.
She said to him, "Lie with me."
Joseph said, "No."
He told her that Potiphar trusted him with everything.
He said, "He is not more than I am here.
He has given me all his things.
He has not kept back anything from me except you because you are his wife.
How can I do this bad thing and sin against God?"
He did not listen to her when she talked to him every day.
One day Joseph went into the house to do his work.
No man was there.
She took his coat and said, "Lie with me."
Joseph left his coat in her hand and ran away.
When she saw that he had left the coat and run away,
She called the people of the house.
She said to them, "He brought a Hebrew man to mock us.
He came to me to lie with me.
I cried out.
When he heard me, he left his coat by me and ran away."
She kept the coat with her until Potiphar came home.
She told him her words.
She said, "The Hebrew slave you brought here came to mock me.
I cried out and he left his coat and ran away."
When Potiphar heard what his wife said, he became very angry.
He took Joseph and put him in the prison where the king's prisoners stayed.
Joseph was there.
God was with Joseph in prison.
God was kind to him.
God helped him.
The prison keeper liked Joseph.
The keeper let Joseph take care of all the prisoners.
Joseph did all the work there.
The keeper watched nothing else.
God was with Joseph.
God made all that he did good.
