Joseph could not keep quiet in front of everyone who was with him.
He cried, "Let everyone leave me."
No one was with him while Joseph told his brothers who he was.
He cried very loud.
The Egyptians heard him.
Pharaoh's house heard him too.
Joseph said to his brothers, "I am Joseph.
Is my father still alive?"
They could not answer because they were afraid of him.
Joseph said to them, "Come close to me."
They came close.
He said, "I am Joseph, your brother.
You sold me to Egypt.
Do not be sad or angry with yourselves for selling me.
God sent me before you to keep life alive.
The land has had no food for two years.
There are five more years with no plow and no harvest.
God sent me ahead to keep you alive in the land.
He sent me to save many people by a big help.
It was not you who sent me, but God.
He made me the father to Pharaoh, the head of his house, and ruler over all Egypt.
Go quickly.
Go to my father.
Say, ‘Your son Joseph says, "God made me ruler of all Egypt.
Come down to me quickly.
Do not stay away." '
You will live in Goshen.
Stay close to me with your children, your children's children, your sheep, your cattle, and all you have.
There I will take care of you because there are five more years with no food.
Do not say you have nothing, you and your house and all you have.
Look, your eyes and Benjamin's eyes see that it is my voice speaking to you.
Tell my father all the good words about me in Egypt and everything you saw.
Go fast and bring my father here.
He put his arms around Benjamin and cried.
Benjamin cried on his neck.
He kissed all his brothers and cried on them.
Then they talked with him.
The news came to Pharaoh's house: "Joseph's brothers are here."
Pharaoh liked it.
His servants liked it.
Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Tell your brothers to do this:
Load your animals and go to Canaan.
Bring your father and your houses and come to me.
I will give you the best of Egypt.
You will eat the fat of the land.
You must take wagons from Egypt for your children and your wives.
Bring your father and come.
Do not worry about your things.
All of Egypt is yours."
The sons of Israel did so.
Joseph gave them wagons as Pharaoh said.
He gave them food for the way.
He gave each man new clothes.
He gave Benjamin three hundred pieces of silver and five sets of new clothes.
For his father he sent ten donkeys with good things from Egypt.
He sent ten female donkeys with grain, bread, and food for him on the way.
He sent his brothers away.
They left.
He said, "Do not fight on the way."
They left Egypt and went to Canaan to their father Jacob.
They told him, "Joseph is alive.
He rules all Egypt."
His heart was very weak because he did not believe them.
They told him all the words Joseph said.
When he saw the wagons Joseph sent, Jacob's spirit came back.
He said, "It is enough.
Joseph my son is alive.
I will go see him before I die."
